I have been in private practice treating orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions. Initially family practice followed by residencies and fellowships with areas of specialty in orthopedic and industrial medicine. I have been involved in research and treatments for spinal pathologies including, spinal fractures, disc Herniations, scoliosis, and degenerative disc disease. (Research papers available) 


I have extensive computer development/programming skills. I have developed computer software for small hospitals and multi-clinic facilities for over 10 years.

Treatments

I have been treating injuries and disease of bone, muscle, and joints using a combination of physical medicine, physical therapy, and manipulation for over 20 years. This includes the use of numerous modalities and procedures,  Dynawave, Sine wave, Faradic Current, Inter-Differential Current, Galvanic Both High and Low Current, Iontophoresis, Russians Stim, H-Wave, Ultrasound, Distraction Therapy, Traction, Ultraviolet, Infrared, Meridian Therapy, Myofasial Release, Exercise, Spinal Manipulation, Articular Manipulation, Mobilization, Massage, Rehab Protocols, Exercise Physiology, and various other physical entities to try and achieve a physiological or mechanical results to cure or alleviate the effects of an injury or disease process to bone, muscle and joint pathologies.

 

             Insurance;

I have been performing record reviews, case management and utilization reviews for a number of insurance companies. When required, physical examinations as well as, record review.

 

 

             Legal;

I have performed numerous Med-legal examinations for the state California as a med legal Examiner. I have evaluated individuals for levels of disability, impairment, the need for future care, apportionment, causation, subjective factors of disability, objective factors of disability, work restrictions, the need for further care.

 

I have performed numerous consultations and examinations for a number of malpractice insurance carriers and attorneys.  I have evaluated and have been use as an expert witness in the defense of physicians involved in malpractice litigation.

 

I have performed numerous Independent Medical Examinations for various governmental agencies and insurance companies. These examinations involve evaluation of specific legal issues such as, apportionment, causation, work restrictions, appropriation of care, impairment, disability, subjective and objective factors of disability, future medical care, evaluation of current care and prognosis, medical management, and the need for care.

 

I have performed numerous Agreed Medical Examinations.  These examinations are essentially the same as Independent Medical Examinations except these examinations are agreed by both parties and my findings are binding to both parties.  Both parties must agree that my examination/evaluation is unbiased and complete.

 

Administrative;

I was the clinic administrator for Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. I was responsible for the complete administration of all the treating facilities for the College.

 

I developed, Organized, and implemented a multi-clinic facility in which I supervise 100+ Doctors, nurses, and ancillary staff. The facility performed more than 5000 patient visits per month. My duties included, developing the basic operating structure, developing training programs, supervising all three facilities and their staff, implementing clinic procedures, developing patient information programs, hospital affiliations, radiology affiliations, contract negotiations, contract formations, public-relations, and a the number of other duties necessary for the operation of the facility.

In regards to patient care I set forth treatment protocols, intern supervision, teaching, training, clinician protocols, diagnostic protocols; including clinical laboratory, EKG, Radiology; including MRI and CT scan. Physical therapy protocols. Record review with outcome assessments. Acted as a clinician supervising and teaching intern’s procedures and adjustments. Presented to interns and clinicians case review profiles

 

 

Teaching;

I have taught for numerous chiropractic schools in the areas of Physical Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Manipulative sciences. I have taught courses for the California Chiropractic Association, Parker College of chiropractic, Los Angeles College of chiropractic, American Chiropractic Association, in the treatment of bone, muscle, and joint disease utilizing physical therapy, physical medicine, and manipulative treatments.

 

I have taught in a clinic environment for Interns and Residents, clinical protocol and patient management.  I have acted as a supervising clinician.

 

Research:

I worked at UCLA, Neuro-psychiatric Institute, brain research division. I performing research, classified, for the United States Air Force. This involved in combination of a medical background and computers. I was involved in computer programming, research protocols, in management of subjects involved.

 

I performed extensive research for Chattanooga Corporation in the areas of physical medicine.  Numerous developments and modifications to existing physical therapy and physical medicine equipment resulted from this research.  Distraction therapy and its equipment was a direct result of my research.  Numerous papers were published in a number of journals.
