Faradic Current

This is another unit manufactured by Mettler. Has multiple waveform faradic is just one of its waveforms.

 

Faradic is a highly specialized current that is not widely used.  It is specific for a condition called RD, (reaction degeneration). It has ability to make muscles contract which their neurology has been damaged. It also to some degree decreases swelling and decreases pain. Its primary use is to stimulate muscles which ordinarily would require an uncomfortable amount of intensity in order to get a contraction. faradic will cause a contraction at a low intensity
